Sissel sings two duets with Placido Domingo on his "Sacred Songs" album released 10. September 2002.
Sissel expected that she would be just one of many performers asked to duet with Domingo on this album. She said she was surprised to learn that she was the only singer invited to perform on this album.
This is the third time Sissel has had the opportunity to work with Domingo. Sissel sang the theme song, "Fire In Your Heart," for the Lillehammer Olympics with Domingo, as well as at his annual Vienna Christmas concert later that year, which was released as an album on Sony Classical..
Sissel performed at several engagements in Germany and Russia in November 2002 with Domingo and José Carreras and appeared on Good Morning America on 16. December 2002 with Domingo to promote the "Sacred Songs" album.
