"Prince Igor" single from The Rapsody Overture - 1998

Sissel sang a part of Prince Igor, a Russian opera by Borodin, BUY NOW! PRINCE IGOR T-Shirt on the album "The Rapsody Overture." This was a collaboration between BMG and Def Jam records wherein European singers sang operas as lush, melodic backdrops for rapping. Sissel was paired up with American rap star Warren G on this single and the song was a number one hit in Europe where it was released. Due to legal complications, and competing claims from rap star LL Cool J, the Rapsody Overture and Sissel's contribution, "Prince Igor" was never released in the USA. The video for the song was #1 on MTV Europe and the main MTV in the USA played it on its annual show of the year's best videos, saying it was a great video despite never being aired in the USA. The video featured Sissel as some unexplained space alien, with silver skin and a flowing metallic silver gown, standing on the moon.
